The Jessica Simpson Clothing Line

The Jessica Simpson Clothing Line

A true child of the 1980s, Jessica Simpson grew up in Texas singing in her church choir, the daughter of a minister. Now known for her big blonde hair and curvaceous figure as much as for her singing voice, Jessica Simpson has successfully tried her hand at fashion designing as well as music and films and now presents an entire Jessica Simpson clothing line.
Making a successful transition from pop music to movies and TV, Simpson is perhaps best known for her 2003-2005 reality television show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. Her career took off at the turn of the 21st century and hasn’t lost momentum yet. In fact, Simpson continues to branch out in her business endeavors, with her own lines of shoes, swimwear, handbags, and perfume.
Jessica Simpson’s early career gave her plenty of experience in interacting with her fans. Before making it big with Columbia Records, Simpson promoted her contemporary Christian songs herself at youth conferences she attended with her dad. Even as the huge star she is today, Simpson gives fans the feeling that she knows them and genuinely likes them.

In 2006, Simpson licensed her name to be used with a line of clothing called “Princy,” which is her father’s nickname for her. They were sold at department stores like Nordstrom with a typical pair of Princy jeans going for around $60. That was the first Jessica Simpson clothing line, but she has also released a line of handbags and shoes that she says she designs to be comfortable and timeless and to give women confidence. A fan of heels and platform shoes, the petite Simpson’s shoe line features wedges, stilettos, and platform shoes in a dazzling variety of colors. These popular shoes are sold in department stores and online.
Simpson’s latest line of clothing, The Jessica Simpson clothing line Collection, expands her fashion influence with new designs for shoes, eyewear, handbags, swimwear, outerwear, lingerie, and jewelry. In the March 2009 issue of In Style magazine, Simpson reaffirms her commitment to designing clothes that make every woman feel pretty and confident, saying, “I know how a dress can make you feel so frumpy. I promise mine won’t.”
Having lived for the past decade in the public eye with every style change, every musical venture, and every pound gained or lost recorded in every form of media, Jessica says she knows what it means to be judged by her looks, and that she understands what goes into choosing clothing that flatters. “I want to create clothes that flatter every figure,” she tells In Style.
In addition to being sold at retailers like Macy’s, Dillards, Lord & Taylor and Von Maur, many of Jessica Simpson’s clothing designs can be purchased online.
