Mandarin Oriental Beijing – The malicious accident

The Mandarin Oriental Beijing was a forty story luxury hotel that was said to be opened for the upcoming Summer Olympics but was delayed. After being completed, the said building was caught on fire as the blaze runs on the building like a wildfire. The fire lasted more than an hour as the building was partly burned on the 30th floor. People were surprisingly nearing the said fire as the tall hotel was spewing with fire on its top.
The spectators were removed as the firemen took care of the fire blazing already like an Olympics’ torch. After that, the fire was taken care of. The common reason would be the fireworks which are being used since the Chinese lunar year was being celebrated and all. The news also thinks that fireworks where the main cause of the fire since they couldn’t see any other reason for such wildfire. However, there are things to be considered before jumping into conclusion that this really was caused by fireworks. One question would be… how the fireworks came inside the building even though it is a luxury hotel and such things are only allowed outside the hotel premises. Next is where the fireworks came from? And lastly, of all places, why the Mandarin Oriental Beijing?
There were witnesses to the fire like one of the British national athletic teams who lives in Beijing, saying they heard of explosion coming from the building and that it was spectacular in sight. The possibility of gas canister as the cause is not far behind but even so, while would they explode unless someone accidentally left it opened or there were other sources of fire that activated the explosion of the gas canisters. It was said that no one was hurt in the fire and that even though that the spectators were very close to the fire, they were all safe as the building was being washed by the fire brigade. This spectacle was captured by some of the CNN I-reporters that were on the scene as the fire took place and can be seen on the internet and other websites like YouTube. As the fire ceased, causes are being examined but the fireworks was still their number one cause and after investigating it, said that they still didn’t know the real cause since everything was in scraps. Either way, the Mandarin Oriental Beijing now has lost its shine as building was said to be irreparable and that it will cost another million’s worth of cash to get it fixed. And after that accident, many will be thinking what really caused the fire. Some would think of it as an accident, some as arson and some as revenge from the company making such buildings. Needless to say, to be able to create a possible cause for the fire would require keen observation and a good sense of thinking at how the fire happened, mostly for the fact that it could accidental or planned out, whatever it may be.
