Jeremy Lusk Costa Rica - The Death of a Motocross Rider

It was a sad Tuesday for Motocross fans as they witnessed the tragic accident and imminent death of American freestyle rider Jeremy Lusk, Costa Rica X-Knights where the competition was being held. All over the Internet the video of Lusk’s death has spread and has been viewed by millions of people, who were all shocked and saddened by the fall and crash of the motocross freestyler’s attempt to do a back flip. At the young age of 24, Jeremy Lusk died as a result of head injuries that were sustained during the competition and it was only last February 10, 2009, a Tuesday morning, when the Post Chronicle reported the death of Jeremy Lusk (Costa rica.)
Jeremy Lusk was a Temecula rider who won a gold medal at the X Games in 2008. He rode a Yamaha YZ250 during the competition held in San Jose, Costa Rica where he crashed after a failed attempt to do a full rotation or back flip. The injured Lusk was then transported immediately to the Calderon Hospital for immediate emergency care. Chief of the Calderon Hospital intensive care unit Jorge Ramirez said the motocross rider suffered from severe brain damage and spinal cord injury and should be given immediate surgery. This lasted for 4 hours and 30 minutes, but he died Monday night with his family and friends surrounding him in his hospital bed.
