Actor Charlie Sheen comes from a family of great performers. His father, Martin Sheen, is an esteemed actor as is his brother, Emilio Estevez. Now, though, the newest member of the Sheen clan in is in for the performance of his life, and he’s only two weeks old.
Charlie Sheen’s newborn son has the eyes of the world on him as he struggles to achieve a healthy weight and go home with his parents. The infant, named Max, was born to Sheen and his wife Brooke Mueller on March 14, 2009 along with his twin brother, Bob. While his brother was sent home, healthy and happy, Max has had to remain at a Los Angeles hospital.
Although the friends and the media have shown great concern for Max’s health, Charlie Sheen assures the world his son is fine. Using his famed humor to lighten the mood, he told reporters that his boy was simply “not fond of hospital food.” However, there has been some speculation that Sheen’s humor is hiding a more serious condition related to Max’s heart. Sources close to the Sheen family, though, say this is a great exaggeration of the situation. In fact, they stress that low birth weight is quite common especially in multiple births, like twins, and with early births.
Overall, Charlie Sheen seems to be a glowing father as he continues to celebrate his new sons despite Max’s health. Sheen also has three daughters, ranging in age from 3 to 24, from past relationships with Denise Richards and Paula Profit.
